- In a 4-quart Dutch oven cook and stir ground beef and onion, half at a time, over medium-high heat until beef is browned; drain fat. Return all beef to pan.
- Stir taco seasoning and ranch dressing mix into beef mixture. Add beans, hominy, tomato sauce, diced tomatoes, bouillon cubes and 1 3/4 cups water. Stir in jalapeños, if desired. Bring mixture to boiling; reduce heat. Simmer, uncovered, 10 to 15 minutes or until thickened to desired consistency, stirring occasionally.
- Meanwhile, prepare rice according to package directions. Spoon chili into bowls over rice, and serve.
