Steak and Caesar Salad

Ingredients

  • 1 lb. sirloin steak, 3/4-inch thick
  • 1 tsp. Montreal steak seasoning
  • 1/2 tsp. garlic powder with parsley
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 6 cups torn romaine lettuce
  • 1/2 cup Caesar salad dressing
  • 1 small cucumber, thinly sliced
  • 1 cup halved cherry tomatoes
  • 1/2 cup seasoned croutons
  • 1/2 cup finely shredded Parmesan cheese

  1. Combine steak, seasoning, garlic powder and salt in a resealable plastic bag. Seal bag; shake to coat steak. Place a nonstick grill pan over medium-high heat. Add steak and cook 2 minutes per side or until browned; reduce heat to medium and cook to desired doneness (145°F for medium-rare, 160°F for medium, 170°F for well-done). Remove from heat; keep warm.
  2. In a large bowl combine lettuce, cucumber, tomatoes, dressing, croutons and cheese. Toss to blend. Arrange on serving platter. Thinly slice steak, arrange slices on top of salad, and serve.
