Spartan Fresh Selections Natural Beef Tenderloin with Stubb’s Beef Marinade Butter



  • 3 lb Spartan Fresh Selections Natural Beef Tenderloin, Whole
  • 12 oz Stubb's Beef Marinade
  • 4 cloves garlic, chopped
  • 4 tsp fresh ground black pepper
  • 2 tsp salt
  • 2 sticks Land 'O Lakes Butter Quarters, room temperature


  1. Combine 10 oz of the Stubb’s Beef Marinade, garlic, pepper, and salt in a bowl. Add the blend with the Spartan Fresh Selections Natural Beef Tenderloin to a zip lock or storage container. Make sure the beef is covered in the sauce. Marinate overnight in the refrigerator Meanwhile, blend together the remaining 2 oz of Stubb’s Beef Marinade with the softened Land 'O Lakes Butter Quarters with several quick pulses in the food processor. Do not over mix. Remove from mixer and portion into approximately 8 golf ball size balls (1 oz each). Set in refrigerator. Approximately 45 minutes before service, remove butters and marinated tenderloin from fridge. Grill Tenderloins for about 20-30 minutes or until they reach an internal temperature of 130F. Let rest for 5-8 minutes before carving. Slice into eight even slices. Top each steak with Stubb’s Beef Marinade Butters and serve.
