Ingredients

  • 8 oz. bacon slices, chopped
  • 1 lb. lean ground beef
  • 1 (28-oz.) can onion baked beans
  • 1 (16-oz.) can dark red kidney beans, rinsed and drained
  • 1 (14.5-oz.) can lima beans, rinsed and drained
  • 1 cup ketchup
  • 1/4 cup packed brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup cider vinegar
  • 1 tsp. yellow mustard

  1. In a large skillet cook and stir bacon and beef over medium-high heat until browned. Drain fat. Transfer to a 3/12- to 4-quart slow cooker.
  2. Add beans, ketchup, brown sugar, vinegar, and mustard; stir to combine. Cover and cook on LOW 3 to 4 hours. Season with pepper to taste. Stir once more before serving.
