- In a large bowl combine beef, garlic, oregano, dried basil, Parmesan and 1/2 cup of the marinara. Mix lightly; shape into four patties 3/4-inch thick.
- Heat oil in a large heavy skillet or grill pan. Add patties; cook 15 minutes (160°F) or to desired doneness, turning once.
- Meanwhile, place a small saucepan over medium heat. Add remaining 1 cup marinara and heat until warm.
- Place 1 patty on each toasted roll; top with sauce, 1 mozzarella slice and fresh basil. Serve immediately.
