Herb Grilled Beef Tri Tip

  • 3 ft Butcher’s Twine
  • 1 Each Whole Beef Tri Tip, 2-2 ½ lbs
  • 2 tsp Sea salt or kosher salt
  • 1 tsp Our Family freshly ground black pepper
  • 1 Tbsp Full Circle Olive Oil
  • 4-5 Sprigs Fresh Rosemary (whole)
  • 8-10 Sprigs Fresh Thyme (whole)


  1. Season the Tri Tip with salt, pepper, and olive oil.
  2. Wrap herbs around the top and bottom of the piece of meat. Using the butcher’s twine, truss the Tri Tip with the herbs under the twine.
  3. Grill on medium-high heat until you reach your desired doneness. Let rest for 5 minutes before slicing. Cut and remove the butcher’s twine and herbs before slicing.
