Cranberry Bread


  • 2 cups Flour
  • 1 tbsp Orange zest
  • 1 cup Sugar
  • 1-1/2 tsp Baking powder
  • 1 tsp Salt
  • 1 Egg
  • 1/2 tsp Baking soda
  • 1-1/2 cup Frozen cranberries


  1. Preheat oven to 350ºF. Grease a 9 x 5-inch loaf pan.
  2. Mix together flour, sugar, baking powder, salt and baking soda in a medium mixing bowl. Stir in orange juice, orange zest, cranberries, shortening and egg.
  3. Pour into the baking pan and bake for about an hour or until you can toothpick the center and it comes out clean.
