- Preheat broiler. Cut bread in half lengthwise. Rub cut sides with garlic. Place cut side up on a baking sheet. Broil 4 inches from heat 1 minute or until lightly toasted. Let cool slightly.
- Tear bread into bite-size pieces and place in a salad bowl. Add tomatoes, chvre and basil. Set aside.
- For the dressing, in a small bowl combine vinegar, salt and pepper; stir to dissolve salt. Whisk in oil. Pour dressing over salad; toss well. Serve immediately.
