- Preheat oven to 375°F. Line a 9-inch pie plate with half the pastry.
- In a large bowl combine apples, berries, sugar, flour and cinnamon. Spoon mixture into the pastry-lined pie plate. Trim crust even with edge of plate.
- Brush edge of crust lightly with water. Top with remaining crust. Turn edges under and crimp to seal. Brush top crust with milk and sprinkle with sugar, if desired. Cut slits to let steam escape.
- Bake 50 to 55 minutes or until top crust is golden and bubbles the in center. Remove from oven and let cool on a wire rack. Serve with ice cream or whipped cream, if desired.
