Ingredients

  • 1/2 lb. lean ground beef
  • 1/3 cup chopped onion
  • 2 (16-oz.) cans baked beans
  • 1/2 cup barbecue sauce
  • 3 tbsp. brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup shredded part-skim mozzarella (2 oz.)
  • 1/2 cup shredded Cheddar (2 oz.)
  • 1 (12-oz.) can refrigerated biscuits

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F. In a large skillet cook and stir beef and onion over medium-high heat until meat is browned and onion is tender. Drain fat. Stir in beans, barbecue sauce and brown sugar. Bring to boiling. Remove from heat.
  2. Transfer mixture to a 2-quart square baking dish; sprinkle with cheeses. Arrange biscuits on top. Bake, uncovered, about 15 minutes or until biscuits are golden and mixture is bubbly. Let stand 5 minutes before serving.
