- In a 4-quart Dutch oven over medium-high heat, cook and stir beef, bacon, onion and carrot until beef is browned. Drain fat.
- Stir in marinara; bring to boiling. Reduce heat; simmer, covered, 5 minutes. Stir in half-and-half.
- Place hot cooked pasta in a serving bowl or on a platter. Spoon sauce over pasta, sprinkle with Parmesan (if desired), and serve.
