Double Up Food Bucks
More "Fresh" on the Dollar!
From apples to zucchini, Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP, formerly known as Food Stamps) participants can earn additional dollars for purchasing Michigan-grown produce from Aug. 1 to Dec. 31 through the Double Up Food Bucks program. With 17 Family Fare locations throughout Western, Southern and Northern Michigan taking part in Double Up Food Bucks, it’s easier than ever for SNAP store guests to take advantage of the program and double their buying power when it comes to fresh fruits and vegetables. See the location list below for participating Family Fare locations in Grand Rapids, Holland, Battle Creek, Hastings and Northern Michigan.
For each dollar of fresh Michigan produce SNAP customers purchase using their SNAP (please say EBT instead of SNAP) Bridge Card and yes Rewards Card, an equivalent amount of points will be earned and placed on their yes Card. Points will be loaded on the yes card the next day (if you purchase Michigan produce on Tuesday, the points will not show up until Wednesday). Shoppers can then redeem the points for free fruits and vegetables at participating Family Fare locations. Each point is valued at $1, with a maximum dollar-for-dollar match of $20 per day on their yes Card.
- to buy Michigan grown fresh fruits and vegetables at a participating grocery store.
- dollars, up to $20 per day.
- on any fresh fruits or vegetables at any participating Family Fare store.
